Our Neighborhood By now everyone is getting tired of the construction project that within a few short months will yield a new Park Avenue, complete with new sidewalks, pedestrian furniture, lighting and trees, yes, a lot of trees! The undergrounding of the power lines will be the final upgrade, with the cut to be completed in the early fall; the visual improvement will be immediate and will be another positive development for our neighborhood. With all of this, there is still the remediation and development of the former Sherwin Williams site. That will take many years to play out, but again, development of our neighborhood is progressing - and should have a positive impact on our property values. I found this post last night on FourSquare.com about the small micro-park that one of our residents (thank you Joel!) has built adjacent to the Sherwin Williams remediation site. Kate R. did this @ Blue Star Corner..."Check out the guerilla urban micro-park on Sherwin Ave. next door. It was created and is maintained as a labor of love by a nearby neighbor." It's great to hear that people in our neighborhood are proud of our little corner of Emeryville - if you haven't taken a close look at the micro-park, you should - you'll be glad you did!

HOA Election Results Thank you to all the homeowners who voted in last month's election to fill the open positions on the Emeryville Warehouse Lofts Home Owners Association Board. The website has been updated with contact information for the new Board.  As a Board, we are looking forward to tackling the various issues we face to ensure that the Emeryville Warehouse Lofts continues to the the premier loft conversion project in the East Bay.
